Yearly event of the YS-Beertjie / Polar Bear Event
Every year in June there is a Polar Bear swimming competition at Bundu Camp in the Sand River. Coldest time of the year!
Bundu Camp is 18km south from Ventersburg, on the N1 South to Winburg.
This event is very popular and draws interest from around the country.
Opening of the N1 Road - and March of thanks to SANRAL
The community of Ventersburg had a mars on 15th of April 2014 to say thanks to SANRAL for the completion of the road at the N1 crossing.The Marching Band, horse drawn carriages and support from local businesses like Total, Spar, Top Slaghuis, Die Kuierhuis and JPI made it a beautiful local affair. The community of Ventersburg were all out to show their tallents and loyalty.
